School Instrument Rental

Your safety is our top priority!

Your student starting band or orchestra shouldn't have to take a back seat. At SSE Music, we are taking every step neccessary to best ensure you and your student's safety trying out instruments!

If you are interested in having your student play test instruments, here are the things we are doing to keep everything sanitary:

• We ask that you call ahead to let us know you would like to play test. Walk ins are always welcome, but this gives us time to prep instruments for your arrival.
• Our staff handles the instrument, while your student will be asked to only blow into the mouthpiece or reed. We want each student to have as little interaction with each instrument, while still experiencing the instrument as much as possible.
• Any reeds used for your student's play test are sanitized or replaced after the play test is done.
• After each use, our brass & woodwind mouthpieces are sanitized with a 70% isopropyl alcohol by volume spray.

What makes our rental plan right for you?

• Monthly contracts with no long-term obligation: Rent the instrument for as long as you like...return it when you're done, or purchase when you're ready! Instruments can also be exchanged at any time (with the approval of the student's instructor).
• All maintenance and repairs are included: We take care of all regular maintenance and repair of damage to any rental instrument free of charge! Lost or stolen instruments may be replaced at no cost, if a valid police report is provided.
• We come to your school: Our store representatives visit every school in our service area once a week during the school year (with occasional visits during Summer months), so if you need anything and can't make it to our store, just call us and we'll arrange for the pick up or delivery of whatever you need! Also, each school has a special coupon code, so ask your student's instructor to have free delivery to the school for online purchases.
• Earn credit toward purchase: Up to 24 months* of rent payments can be put toward the purchase of your rental instrument or an instrument of equal or greater value. Call us any time to discuss your options!

• Earn MORE with our Rental Rewards program: If you take special care of your rental instrument, we can reward you with an additional $100.00 toward purchase!*

​We take pride in the work that we put into making sure our rental instruments are in tip-top working order and to ensure that your child has what they need. To that end, your initial contract payment will be non-refundable to help defray our costs. Thank you for understanding!

Our Rental Rates

Standard (Used) Instruments:

Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion, Violin, Viola:
$25.00 + tax per month

Oboe, Alto Saxophone, Cello:
$35.00 + tax per month

Tenor Saxophone, French Horn, Baritone:
$45.00 + tax per month

New Instruments (ask for availability):
Add $5.00 per month to the standard rate

For beginning school music students, we offer
50% off of your first four months!*

Kick-start your rental by getting 50% off of your first four months!**

*These programs are ONLY offered to students in the first year of a school band or orchestra program. Later beginners, private students, and adult renters do not qualify.
