Meinl HE-102 12.75" Darbuka

Meinl Darbukas come from the same geographical points of origin as doumbeks; the main difference is the flat rim around the head rather than a rounded rim. The thin metal shells of these Turkish drums give them a lot of resonance, while their shape allows cutting high tones and fat low tones. The head is secured and tuned with external rings set close to the shell. Meinl aluminum darbukas give you the most 'buka' for your buck - the metal provides a good sound at a fraction of the cost of more expensive metals.
