To Keep Thine Honor Bright honors the men and women of the United States Military Academy at West Point. The title of this work comes from the second verse of that institution's Alma Mater. The three sections of this work, subtitled Leadership and Teamwork, The Stalwart Soldier, and The Practical Joker, use thematic material from the Alma Mater.
